Now in its 10th year, the Cebu Lechon Festival at The Mactan Newtown has evolved from a local food market into a full-blown cultural and gastronomic destination. Running from August 6 to 31, this year’s festival, presented by The Mactan Newtown in partnership with the Provincial Government of Cebu, invites locals and travelers alike to look beyond the plate.

The Great Taste Test (August 7 to 9)
You no longer need to plan a long weekend road trip to experience the distinct lechon flavors of the province. The Great Cebu Lechon Market at the Mactan Alfresco transforms into a culinary passport, bringing 10 municipalities directly to Lapu-Lapu City.

Participating towns include Barili, Medellin, Alcoy, Argao, Carcar City, Dalaguete, Dumanjug, Talisay City, Consolacion, and Samboan. The Post-Race Binge (August 9)
This year’s festival intersects with the IRONMAN 70.3, making it the ultimate “cheat day” destination for athletes and supporters.

After crossing the finish line, triathletes and festival-goers can transition straight into the Lechon Fest Street Party.
