6.9 Magnitude Quake Hits Alaska—USGS
A magnitude 6.9 earthquake of struck off the community of Nikolski in the US state of Alaska on Monday, the US Geological Survey report said.
It added the quake, with a depth of 22 km (14 miles), hit southwest of Nikolski in the Aleutian Islands, at 0535 GMT.
Report said there were no immediate damage or casualties.
