AIA Advantage Max Gives Filipinos a Path to Global Investments With Built-In Life Protection
AIA Philippines, formerly known as Philam Life, has launched AIA Advantage Max, a single-premium investment-linked insurance product designed to help Filipinos pursue global investment opportunities while maintaining life insurance protection.
Available in both Philippine pesos and US dollars, Advantage Max is aimed at individuals who want to grow their wealth, potentially generate income, and provide financial security for their loved ones through one policy.
One policy, two financial goals
AIA Advantage Max brings together two priorities that are often handled separately: wealth building and protection. Customers make a one-time premium payment and gain access to professionally managed global investment-linked funds, while also receiving life insurance coverage until age 100.
The product is offered as AIA Peso Advantage Max or AIA Dollar Advantage Max, allowing customers to choose the currency that best fits their financial plans.
Access to global income opportunities
Advantage Max provides access to the Global Dynamic Income Paying Fund (GDIF) and the newly introduced Global Adventurous Income Fund (GAIF). Both funds are designed to give customers exposure to diversified global investments and the potential for quarterly fund distributions.
The GDIF has a historical annualized payout rate of more than 6%, while the GAIF targets a 7% annualized payout rate. These payouts are not guaranteed and may vary depending on fund performance and applicable policy terms.
The GAIF is a global multi-asset fund that invests in equities, fixed-income securities, and other income-generating assets. It is designed for income-oriented investors with a higher risk appetite and seeks to deliver both long-term growth and potential regular cash payouts.
Bonuses for long-term policyholders
AIA Advantage Max also includes incentives designed to reward customers who stay invested over time.
A start-up bonus of up to 5% of the single premium, spread across the first five policy years.
A loyalty bonus equivalent to 2% of the average monthly account value over the preceding 60 months, available beginning in policy year 10 and every five years thereafter, subject to policy terms and conditions.
Life protection included
Beyond its investment features, Advantage Max provides life insurance coverage until age 100. The death benefit is the higher of 125% of the single premium or 105% of the account value, including any credited start-up bonus.
The product also offers guaranteed issuance, with no medical exams required, making it more accessible for individuals seeking both protection and investment exposure.
A balanced approach to wealth
AIA Philippines positions Advantage Max as a solution for customers seeking to balance wealth accumulation, income potential, and financial protection. Potential quarterly distributions may help support ongoing priorities such as health, critical illness, or medical protection needs, while customers remain invested for long-term goals.
“Successful investing is achieved through diversification, professional management, disciplined risk management, and staying focused on long-term goals. Equally important is ensuring that the wealth you build is protected,” said Goh Chong Yong, Chief Investment Officer of AIA Philippines.
Important considerations
As with all market-linked investments, account values, returns, and fund distributions may fluctuate. Customers should review the product’s features, risks, charges, and policy conditions with an AIA Life Planner to determine whether it aligns with their financial goals and risk tolerance.
With its combination of global investment access, potential income, and built-in life protection, AIA Advantage Max offers Filipinos another option for building and safeguarding wealth over the long term.
