Magnitude 5.2 Quake Jolts Davao Occidental

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake hit Davao Occidental on Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The tectonic quake struck 384 kilometers southeast of Sarangani around 11:13 a.m.

It had a depth of 117 kilometers.

Instrumental Intensity 1 was recorded in Alabel, Sarangani.

Phivolcs, meanwhile, is not expecting damages from the earthquake but stressed that aftershocks are possible. (PNA)
