Fire Hits Basak San Nicolas

On the 5th day of the fire prevention month, another fire incident broke out in Sitio Ipil-ipil, Barangay Basak San Nicolas in Cebu City at dawn.

Cebu City Fire Department received the alarm at 1:37 a.m. and was raised to 3rd alarm at 2:19 a.m.

Authorities controlled the fire at 3:18 a.m. and finally declared fire out at 3:48 a.m.

Based on the initial investigation, 66 houses were razed by the fire affecting 87 families or 326 individuals.

P600,000 was the estimated worth of damage. (MLC)
