Isolated Rainshowers On Friday

The country may expect isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, especially over the eastern part of southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao on Friday.

In its advisory, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the provinces of Quezon, Laguna, Cavite, Bataan and some parts of Metro Manila may experience thunderstorms and light to moderate rains.

Early Friday, light to moderate rains were reported in Las Piñas and Muntinlupa in southern Metro Manila which may persist for one to two hours.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies, meanwhile, may prevail over Metro Manila and other parts of the country.

The state weather bureau said ridge of a high pressure area (HPA) still affects northern and southern Luzon. Also, easterlies affect the eastern part of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. (PNA) JMC/MCCA
