Malacañang Declares July 17 a Regular Holiday

The Palace issued last week Proclamation 1070 making July 17 (Friday) a regular Holiday in the country in observance of Eid’l Fitr (Feast of Ramadhan). Eid’l Fitr is celebrated by the Muslim community for 3 days after the end of the month of fasting.

Malacañang said the entire Filipino nation should have the opportunity to join their Muslim bothers and sisters in peace and harmony in the said observance.
