Total to Hike Gas, Diesel Prices Tuesday

Total will hike its gas prices by Php 2.40 per liter and diesel prices by 1.90 per liter effective 6:00 a.m. Tuesday.

However, the company did not mention any price increase in its kerosene products.

According to the Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) oil monitor as of February 5, gasoline per liter is sold between Php 33.40-37.60, while diesel per liter is presently sold between Php 23.70-28.74.

The increase in prices is attributed to the strike of American oil workers and closure of several refineries. (PNA) LAM/JLD/EDS
