After Ruby: Eastern Samar Town Submerged in Mud, Floodwater – Report

Some barangays in Eastern Samar province remained submerged in floodwater and mud days after typhoon Ruby’s passage last weekend.

GMA radio dzBB’s Carlo Mateo on Tuesday posted photos showing Barangay Mabuhay in Taft town in Eastern Samar being flooded.
He also posted similarly photos of flooded Barangay Binaluan, also in Taft.

Typhoon Ruby made its first landfall over Dolores in Eastern Samar. Ruby continued in Visayas before making more landfalls over Mindoro, Marinduque, Batangas and Lubang Island.

Ruby has since weakened into a tropical depression and is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday, GMA News online reported.
