Typhoon ‘Dodong’- Hit Power Lines in North Luzon Restored

Manila (PNA) – Power lines hit by Typhoon “Dodong” in North Luzon were restored by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) on Monday.

”As of May 11, 2015, the transmission line in North Luzon affected by Typhoon Dodong is in normal condition,” NGCP said in a statement Monday.

It has reported restoring power to Cagayan Electric Cooperatives Inc 2 (CAGELCO 2) after energizing the Magapit-Sta.Ana 69 kilovolt (kV) lines that had tripped on May 10 at 5:40 p.m.

CAGELCO 2’s franchise includes Sta. Teresita, Gonzaga, Sta. Ana and Buguey.

The grid operator assured it is ready to conduct disaster management activities to ensure reliable power transmission services.

”Dodong” entered the country on Thursday and hit Cagayan at 5 p.m. on Sunday. (PNA) FPV/JLD
