Actor Mark Gil Passes Away

Drama Actor Mark Gil, 52, died Monday 8 am after a battle with liver cirrhosis, according to Gil’s camp Monday.

Gil, born as Ralph John Eigenmann, would have turned 53 on Sept. 25.

The actor’s death was reported over dzBB radio before noon Monday.

According to reports, Gil’s family has yet to issue an official statement as of Monday noon.

Most of Gil’s children are in the showbiz industry, including Gabby and Ira Eigenmann with actress-commercial model Irene Celebre;
Sid Lucero and Max Eigenmann with actress Bing Pimentel; Andi Eigenmann with actress Jaclyn Jose.

Gil was last married to Maricar Jacinto in 2006. He was one of the three children of Eddie Mesa and Rosemarie Gil.

His siblings are veteran actors Michael de Mesa and Cherie Gil.
