DFA Confirms 3 Filipinos On Board Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17

Manila  (PNA) — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Friday confirmed that three Filipinos were among the 295 people onboard Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 that was shot down in Ukrainian airspace.

Foreign Affairs spokesman Charles Jose said the Philippine government received this information from Malaysian and Dutch authorities.

“Names of passengers have yet to be released,” Jose said in a statement.

The Philippine embassies in Malaysia and Netherlands are coordinating with authorities and Malaysian Airlines on securing more information, Jose said. (PNA) FPV/MDC/MEC
