6.1 Magnitude Quake Hits Southern Mindanao

A magnitude 6.1 earthquake jolted some parts of Mindanao Thursday, February 6, 2020.

The earthquake of tectonic origin was located 118 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos with a depth of 20 kilometers.

Intensity 4 was felt in Glan, Sarangani while intensity 3 was felt in Alabel, Sarangani; General Santos City; and Davao City.

Intensity 2 was also felt in Tupi, South Cotabato and Magsaysay, Davao Del Sur. Possible aftershocks are expected.

No casualties and damages were reported. (ASC)
