SYNOPSIS: Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is affecting the Western section of Luzon.
At 3:00 AM today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 305 km Northwest of Extreme Northern Luzon (22.3 °N, 119.8 °E) [OUTSIDE PAR]. Meanwhile, the eye of Typhoon CIMARON was located based on all available data at 1,660 km Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon (28.6°N, 135.7°E) [OUTSIDE PAR] with maximum sustained winds of 160 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 195 km/h. It is moving Northwest at 35 km/h.
FORECAST: Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, and Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or localized thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds from the Southwest will prevail over Palawan and Occidental Mindoro and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Light to moderate winds from the Southwest will prevail over Visayas with slight to moderate seas.
